Matt Maddocks

Matt Maddocks draws from the natural form of the stone to influence, inform and inspite his pieces, he chooses each individual stone for its natural affinity with his designs.
Matt produces an exquisite range of hand carved granite sculpture and garden features, which explore contrasts between geometric and natural form. We pride ourselves on providing finely crafted products with reliable and customer focussed after-sales service.
Matt has had a lifelong fascination with sculptural form and studied sculpture at Bretton Hall, the setting, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, inspired Matt to further develop his skills in material based sculpture.
Matt has also built up significant experience to enhance his skill as a sculptor, previously working with wood, landscape, glass and interior design.
Matt undertook historical research into stone carving during his studies, followed by a period of training and development in India. He still works closely with his team in India, drawing on the knowledge and skills of local craftsmen to source high quality materials so he is able to produce his innovative, tactile and bespoke pieces.
